What is a Non-Motorised Transport User (NMU) Survey?

A non-motorised transport user survey can be a simple count of pedestrians and cyclists using a pathway, but it could also involve classifying users as Adults, Children, Elderly, Disabled, Accompanied, Unaccompanied etc. It may also include other types of users such as those riding horses.

These surveys may be conducted using on-site interviewers with clipboards or tablet PCs, or may be enumerated from video footage.
